Back at the Bush Pilots Airbase
Replacing the defective part apparently solved the problem as the magnetos both were running smooth as silk now. Of we went back to the Bush Pilots Airbase in the Barberton Valley.

Ain't they happy!?!

However, when I did the run-ups for the first lesson of the Bush Flying School, the left magneto again coughed a bit - not ideal. CC would bring back the plane to Nelspruit the next day and give those guys another chance in locating the fault.

I managed to land the plane in a little more than 100 meters which I'm pretty happy with. The tecnique goes as follows: You come in "behind the power curve" and with full flaps. Immediately when you clear the last obstacle before the runway you pull the flaps up (that's where electrical flaps suck). The lift disappears and the plane drops onto the runway right there and then.

Linda tested the camera and did some off-line homepage- updating (unfortunatelly CC doesn't have a proper internet connection - only through his mobile, which obviously is to pricy to upload megs of pictures) and started to plan our first day of the flight around southern africa, which was supposed to be Friday.
